Ross Clarke
Senior Strategist
As an industrial relations specialist, Ross brings a decade of experience in enterprise bargaining and implementation to Impact Employee Communications. Ross combines his legal training, his specialisation in delivering practical and efficient enterprise agreements to the retail industry, and his knowledge of effective employee communication practices to deliver strategic counsel on employee relations.
After completing his Law degree, Ross spent two years working as a barrister before taking a job as an industrial relations advocate in the mid-1990s. While contracting at Impact, Ross is also National Director of Workplace Relations for the Australian Hotels Association (AHA). Through his role with the AHA, Ross sits on the Deputy Prime Minister's Business Advisory Group.
Ross believes that it is well established that a company's relationship with its people is vital to its success, and the most critical element of this relationship is the manner in which a company approaches its employee relations. A proactive approach, integrated with a company's cultural, people, operational and financial objectives is essential. The obvious platform to ensure these objectives are properly aligned is during the strategic planning, negotiation and implementation of an enterprise agreement.
Recent client projects that Ross has been involved in include a major airline, a telecommunications organisation, a medical devices manufacturer and a global food producer.
Ross mixes his corporate work with a semi-rural lifestyle in the hinterland of the Sunshine Coast where his wife has a growing reputation as an abstract painter and his young children have the space to run.
