Karyn Hobbs
Senior Strategist
Karyn Hobbs has over 15 years experience as an employee engagement specialist and is one of our senior strategists.
Karyn has worked in a range of service industries in large corporations, with the majority of her experience coming from the aviation, financial services and telecommunications industries. Her background includes employee engagement, change management, senior executive and CEO communications coaching, as well as customer insight and brand management.
At Impact, Karyn has provided strategic communication counsel to both Australian and global firms including Sara Lee, Commonwealth Bank, GE Healthcare, Caltex Australia, Perpetual Trustees, Prudential, Stryker, AstraZeneca, Leighton, CSR, Woolworths and Qantas, as well as some not-for-profit organisations including the National Heart Foundation and the Starlight Children's Foundation.
Prior to joining Impact, Karyn consulted to Optus on its cultural transformation program and before that was head of internal communication at Insurance Australia Group, Australia's largest general insurer. Karyn was with Qantas Airways for over 12 years, in management roles ranging from customer insight, international brand to heading up the customer service and strategy global cultural change unit.
Karyn has a Bachelor of Arts from Griffith University, Queensland.
When not impacting the lives of employees, Karyn has been known to run half marathons and swim oceans to raise funds to find a cure for the Big C, always cheered on by her two little boys.
